2025 M.A.K. Halliday Prize Winner

Dr Awni Etaywe (Charles Darwin University) has been awarded the 2025 M.A.K. Halliday Prize for Outstanding Research in Applied Linguistics.

His award-winning article examines how language shapes bonds, obligations, and polarisation in extremist discourse, highlighting the crucial role of applied linguistics in addressing contemporary global challenges.
